I still haven't technically booked my flight yet, which I am fully aware is coming up fast, but I have an urge to bargain shop. Some people may call it stingy, maybe frugal..but I prefer to think of it as just plain SAVVY. In reality, I am just taking full advantage of capitalism, and since America for some reason prides itself on being a capitalist country, it is fully within my rights to exercise that power. There are more airfare sights than there are people in Sonoma County! Ok..slight exaggeration, whatever. If this was England, there would be MAYBE 3 different sites, and they'd all look the same, with tiny differences in color and price. Think of how easy it was to buy deodorant and toothpaste when I lived there! Three options, basically the same. DONE.
But seriously, I have exhausted Google with the amount of searches I have done on variations of "cheap flights" in the past 3 days. If Google was Lance Armstrong, I just made him do the Tour De France in a quarter of the time. If Google was a contestant on The Biggest Loser, he would have already won because of the nonstop exercise he's been doing for me. Think about it...at first I was just gonna get a RT ticket...easy enough. BUT, then I started thinking what if it's cheaper to get 2 one-way tickets. Turns out it is.. on the way there I go straight to Toronto, no adding a day and spending 3 hrs in a random airport, like RT would have been. But on the way back I have to take a bus from Toronto to Buffalo, NY airport, courtesy of www.megabus.com..which ends up only being like 7 bucks, rather than $65 which I'd seen elsewhere! And I get to drive past Niagara Falls. BOOYAH.
Savvy? I think so!
